12. Approval of the Proposed Updates to the Burbank Water and Power\nCommercial Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate Program – Burbank\nWater and Power Department\nRecommendation:\nApprove the following modifications to the Burbank Water and Power\nCommercial Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate Program:\n1. Increase equipment and installation rebate amounts for Direct Current\n(DC) fast chargers from $4,000 to up to $10,000 per port in publicly\naccessible locations, multi-family residences, and environmentally\ndisadvantaged communities. For all other locations, increase the DC fast\ncharger equipment and installation rebate from $1,800 to $5,000.\n2. Increase utility infrastructure upgrade rebate amounts for DC fast\nchargers from $3,500 to up to $10,000 per port in publicly accessible\nlocations, multi-family residences, and environmentally disadvantaged\ncommunities from $1,700 to $5,000 in all other locations.\n3. Add a rebate of up to $3,500 per device for smart outlets at multi-family\nproperties, municipal properties, and commercial properties with\nemployee parking.\n4. Implement a rebate cap of $200,000 per customer.
