21. United States Department of Homeland Security 2023 Urban Area Security\nInitiatives Grant Program Award and Subaward Agreement with the City of\nLos Angeles\nRecommendation -\n1. Authorize the City Manager to execute a subaward agreement with the\nCity of Los Angeles and accept a 2023 Urban Area Security Initiatives\nGrant for $251,765 towards the purchase of an armored rescue vehicle\nfor an estimated total cost not to exceed $458,379.\n2. Authorize the use of an additional $206,614 from Asset Forfeiture to\ncover the remaining amount necessary to complete the purchase of the\narmored rescue vehicle, which includes a 15% contingency of $26,950\nadded to the Asset Forfeiture amount to account for potential cost\nincreases before the City's purchase is finalized.\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute documentation,\napproved as to form by the City Attorney, necessary to effectuate the\narmored rescue vehicle purchase.\n4.
