Balboa Boulevard, Newport Boulevard, and 32nd Street Pavement\nRehabilitation - Award of Contract No. 8833-2 (22R11)\na) Find this project exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\npursuant to Section 15301(c), Class 1 (maintenance of existing public facilities\ninvolving negligible or no expansion of use) of the CEQA Guidelines, because this\nproject has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment;\nb) Approve the project plans and specifications;\nc) Approve Budget Amendment No. 24-078 appropriating $42,000 in new\nrevenue and expenditures from Orange County Sanitation District to Account No .\n13501-980000-22R11;\nd) Award Contract No. 8833-2 to R.J. Noble Company for the total bid price of\n$5,119,060 for the Balboa Boulevard, Newport Boulevard, and 32nd Street\nPavement Rehabilitation project, and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to\nexecute the contract; and\ne) Establish a contingency of $512,000 (approximately 10 percent of total bid) to\ncover the cost of unforeseen work not included in the original contract.\nStaff Report\nAttachment A - Location Map\nAttachment B - Budget Amendment\nMay 28, 2024
