APPROVE A FEE WAIVER REQUEST FROM THE SPRINGS OF HOPE\nGRIEF CARE CENTER (SPRINGS OF HOPE) FOR A PRIVATE MEMORIAL\nEVENT\nSummary:\nStaff received a request from the Springs of Hope Grief Care Center (Springs of\nHOPE) for a facility fee waiver in the amount of $1,185 for the use of the Signal\nHill Library Community Room, Signal Hill Park Open Space, and Picnic Shelter\nNo. 3. The City Council will consider a waiver request from Springs of HOPE for\nfacility and staff fees.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 5 High-Functioning Government: Strengthen internal communication.\nrecruitment, retention, systems, and processes to increase the\neffectiveness and efficiency of City services.\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends the City Council approve the Springs of Hope’s request for\nthe waiver of fees for the use of the Signal Hill Library Community Room, Signal\nHill Park Open Space, and Picnic Shelter No. 3.
