FIRST READING OF AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S MUNICIPAL CODE\nREGARDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE BENEFIT ZONE OF THE SANTA\nCLARITA TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT BY DESIGNATING\nADDITIONAL HOTELS - Public Hearing regarding an amendment to the Tourism\nMarketing District Ordinance that would update the benefit zone to include newly\nconstructed hotels.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Conduct public hearing and introduce an ordinance entitled, “AN UNCODIFIED\nORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,\nCALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE BENEFIT ZONE OF\nTHE SANTA CLARITA TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT BY\nDESIGNATING ADDITIONAL HOTELS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BENEFIT\nZONE ALL PURSUANT TO SANTA CLARITA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTIONS\n3.36.020 (DESCRIPTION OF AREA AND BENEFIT ZONE) AND 3.36.030.A\n(METHOD OF ASSESSMENT) AND THE PARKING AND BUSINESS\nIMPROVEMENT AREA LAW OF 1989, SECTION 36500 ET SEQ. OF THE\nSTREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE;” waive reading of the text and consent to\nreading by title only, as listed on the agenda; and pass to second reading.
