5) CONSIDERATION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT TO\nMERCHANTS LANDSCAPE SERVICES, INC. FOR REQUEST\nFOR PROPOSAL NO. 202402 - LANDSCAPE AND\nMAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR CIVIC CENTER AND CITY\nPARKS\nIt is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Award the contract for Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 202402\nfor landscape and maintenance services for the Civic Center\nand City parks to Merchants Landscape Services, Inc.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an\nagreement, in such final form as approved by the City Attorney,\nwith Merchants Landscape Services, Inc. for landscape and\nmaintenance services for the Civic Center and City parks, for\nan initial term of three (3) years, with the option to extend for\ntwo (2) additional one (1) year periods, in an amount not to\nexceed $5,499,356 ($879,897 annually plus 25% for additional\nwork as approved by the City Manager).\n3. Authorize the City Manager to approve change orders and\namendments to the agreement, provided that Merchant\nLandscape Services, Inc.'s total compensation does not\nexceed $5,499,536.
