12.14 Consideration and Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the City of El Monte’s\nAcceptance of a $200,000 Public Safety Grant from the San Gabriel Valley Council of\nGovernments (SGVCOG).\nRECOMMENDATION OF BUSINESS ITEM UNDER CONSIDERATION:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Approve the attached Resolution (Attachment 1) authorizing the acceptance of public\nsafety grant funds;\n2. Approve a Memorandum of Agreement (Attachment 2) between the City of El Monte (the\n“City”) and the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG)outlining the terms\nfor the utilization and management of the grant funds;\n3. Authorize an appropriation in the amount of $200,000 for Fiscal Year 2024/2025 budget;\n4. Authorize the SGVCOG to reimburse $200,000 to the General Fund for the purchase of\nequipment; and\n5.
