7. PUBLIC HEARINGS\nWeed Abatement Protest Hearing- The City Council will hold a public hearing to hear\nobjections of owners of properties having been found to have weeds, brush, rubbish, and refuse\nin such a manner that creates a public nuisance and requires abatement.\nSTAFF RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Hold a public hearing for protest of the Annual\nWeed Abatement Notice; and,\n2. Direct the Los Angeles County Agricultural\nCommissioner/Director of Weights & Measures\nto abate the nuisance by having weeds, rubbish,\nand refuse removed for those properties\nremaining on the annual List of Properties.
