B. APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ACE PARKING MANAGEMENT\nINCORPORATED FOR PARKING ENFORCEMENT SERVICES THROUGH JUNE\n2027 NOT TO EXCEED $1,249,668 FOR THE THREE-YEAR TERM\nThe City has been in contract with Inter-Con Security Systems Inc. to provide\nparking-enforcement services since September 2018. The current contract\nexpires on June 30, 2024. Parking-enforcement officers issue citations related\nto parking violations and complaints. Additionally, they respond to calls-for-\nservice involving parking-related complaints during hours of service which\nalleviates the need for patrol officers to respond to these types of calls. Parking\nenforcement services are currently budgeted in the Police Department’s\nContractual Services #121-751-00-22-000 in the amount of $350,000 for FY\n2024-2025 due to forecasted cost escalations.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter a\nthree-year contract with Ace Parking, ending on June 30, 2027, with two\nadditional one-year extensions that may be considered at the discretion of the\nCity at the expiration of the three-year period.
