E. AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR AN AMOUNT OF\n$91,531 WITH MGT CONSULTING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE\nCLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION STUDY\nAt the request of each employee group during the last round of labor\nnegotiations, the City agreed to conduct a citywide classification and\ncompensation study. On December 19, 2024, staff released Request for\nProposal (RFP) No. 23-20 for a comprehensive classification and compensation\nstudy of all 84 full-time positions listed on the City’s authorized position\nclassification and salary schedule. The overall objective of the study is to update\nthe City’s position classification and compensation system (i.e., policies,\nprocedures, and schedules) to meet current regulatory requirements, best\npractices, organizational needs, and market conditions. The total cost of the\nproject is expected to be no more than $91,531.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve a professional service\nagreement with MGT Consulting for a comprehensive classification and\ncompensation study and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement.
