CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTIONS RELATING TO THE CALLING OF SAN\nGABRIEL’S GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 5,\n2024 [RESOLUTIONS NOS. 24-32, 24-33, 24-34]\nThis item calls the General Municipal Election for November 5, 2024, for the\nelection of two members of the City Council; requests consolidation with the\nStatewide General Election and sets regulations for candidate statements.\nFunding for the November 2024 Consolidated Election is contained in the\nproposed General Fund Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget (Account Nos. 121-702-\n00-22-000 and 121-702-00-31-000). The cost of holding the election is\nestimated at $95,000.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the following resolutions:\n1. Resolution No. 24-32 calling for the holding of a General Municipal\nElection on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.\n2. Resolution No. 24-33 requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County\nof Los Angeles to consolidate, administer, manage, and oversee the\nElection.\n3. Resolution No. 24-34 establishing regulations for candidate statements;\nwith or without the option for online candidate statements.
