F. AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY FOR\nANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 IN\nTHE AMOUNT OF $525,000\nThe San Gabriel Valley Human Society (SGVHS) has provided animal care and\ncontrol services to the community for many decades. The City’s most recent\nagreement with SGVHS, approved by the City Council on May 16, 2023, was an\namendment to the agreement dated June 3, 2021, and has a term of one-year.\nWith the existing amendment set to terminate on June 30, 2024, the SGVHS is\nrequesting a new agreement to continue services for the City for Fiscal Year\n2024-2025, with a new compensation amount of $525,000, which has already\nbeen included in the proposed budget. Based on prior years, the license fee\nrevenue for FY 2024-2025 is estimated at $39,000.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve the Agreement with the San\nGabriel Valley Humane Society for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 in the amount of\n$525,000 and authorize the City Manager to execute said agreement.
