15. Gender Affirming Resource Closets for LGBTQ+ Foster Youth in Los\nAngeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Horvath and Solis: Instruct the\nDirector of Children and Family Services to collaborate with the Pritzker Foster\nCare Initiative and Casey Family Programs to implement the gender affirming\nresource closet pilot program; inform all Department of Children and Family\nServices (DCFS) LGBTQ+ Champions about the pilot and provide DCFS staff\nwith information on ways to access these resources that can be shared with\nChild Welfare-involved youth; and in collaboration with the Chief Executive\nOfficer, identify permanent funding sources for future fiscal years to continue\nand expand gender affirming resource closets throughout the County, with at\nleast one in every Service Planning Area, once the pilot is completed.\n(24-2131)
