64. On-Call Water Conservation Best Management Practices Services\nContract\nRecommendation: Acting as the governing body of the Los Angeles County\nWaterworks District (District), award and authorize the Director of Public\nWorks to execute a contract with WaterWise Consulting, Inc., a Community\nBusiness Enterprise, to assist the District and Marina del Rey Water System in\nimplementing on-call water conservation best management practices, required\nby the California Urban Water Conservation Council for urban water\nconservation in California throughout various areas within the County, for a\nperiod of one year with four one-year and six month-to-month extension options\nfor a maximum potential contract term of 66 months and a maximum potential\ncontract amount of $753,225; find that the contract is exempt from the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director to take the\nfollowing actions: (Department Public Works) APPROVE\nExercise the extension options if, in the opinion of the Director,\nWaterWise, Consulting, Inc. has successfully performed during the\nprevious contract period, and the services are still required, execute\namendments to incorporate necessary changes within the scope of work,\nand suspend and/or terminate the contract for convenience if it is in the\nbest interest of the County to do so; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the\nannual contract amount, which is included in the maximum potential\ncontract amount for unforeseen additional work within the scope of the\ncontract, if required, and to adjust the annual contract amount for each\noption year over the term of the contract to allow for an annual cost of\nliving adjustment in accordance with County policy.
