36. Transportation Services Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute a contract with HopSkipDrive, Inc. for the provision of transportation\nservices for youth in foster care to their school of origin and school-related\nactivities, effective July 1, 2024, or upon date of execution, through June 30,\n2025, with two one-year extension options through June 30, 2027, with a\nmaximum annual contract amount of $4,000,000, funded 100% by 2011 State\nRealignment funds, with the Department of Children and Family Services\ncontributing 50% of the funds and the school districts contributing the remaining\n50%, for a maximum contract amount for the initial one-year term and two\none-year extension options of $12,000,000, with sufficient funding included in\nthe Fiscal Year 2024-25 Recommended Budget; and authorize the Director to\ntake the following actions: (Department of Children and Family Services)\nAPPROVE\nExecute amendments to increase or decrease the maximum annual\ncontract amount up to 10%, if such an amendment is necessary to meet\nchanges in service demands and the necessary funding is available in\nthe budget;\nExecute amendments to the contract to make changes to the scope of\nwork or the terms and conditions to meet program needs;\nExercise the two one-year extension options by written notice or\namendment, provided that sufficient funding is available; and\nExtend the new transportation services contract by amendment for a\nperiod not to exceed six months beyond June 30, 2027, if such additional\ntime is necessary to complete the negotiation or solicitation of a new\ncontract, provided that the Cost of Living Adjustment is not included, and\nsufficient funding is available for the extension.
