26. Sustainability Planning Consulting Services\nExecutive Officer of the Board’s recommendation: Approve and authorize the\nExecutive Officer of the Board to execute an agreement with Buro Happold\nConsulting Engineers, Inc., to provide support to the Chief Sustainability Office\nas it undertakes a revision to the 2019 County’s OurCounty Sustainability Plan,\nin the amount of $981,770, effective upon execution, for a term of one year and\nsix months, with two six-month renewal options, for a maximum term of two\nyears and six months; and authorize the Executive Officer to take the following\nactions:\nTerminate for convenience, when such action is deemed by the\nExecutive Office of the Board, in its sole discretion, to be in the County's\nbest interest, and to prepare and execute amendments to the agreement\nas needed, when such amendments are necessary to modify the type of\nwork to be completed, update the statement of work, exercise term\nextension options, and update the terms and conditions of the agreement,\nso long as the amendments do not cause the maximum Board-approved\nterm of the agreement to be exceeded, are consistent with the original\nintent of the agreement, conform to any Board-ordered or otherwise\nmandatory contract provisions; and\nExecute amendments to the agreement that increase or decrease the\nmaximum contract amount by up to 10% of the Board approved amount\nabove; and authorize non-material changes to the agreement, pursuant to\na change notice.
