30. Department of Children and Family Services Lease Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the\nproposed lease amendment with Antelope Valley Union High School District, a\nPublic School District, for use of approximately 49,000 sq ft of office space and\n250 on-site parking spaces located at 176 Holston Drive, Lancaster (5) to be\noccupied by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), with an\nestimated maximum first year base rental amount of $1,246,000, and an\nestimated total lease amendment amount of $10,410,000 over an eight-year\nterm; with the rental costs to be funded by 45% State and Federal funds and\n55% Net County Cost (NCC) that is already included in DCFS’s existing budget,\nwith no additional NCC to be requested for this action; authorize and direct the\nChief Executive Officer to execute any other ancillary documentation necessary\nto effectuate the proposed lease amendment, and take actions necessary and\nappropriate to implement the proposed lease amendment, including, without\nlimitation, exercising any early termination rights; and find that the proposed\nlease amendment is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(24-2061)
