42. Health Care Language Interpreters Services Agreement\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Health Services to execute a\nsuccessor agreement with Health Care Interpreter Network (HCIN) for the\nDepartment of Health Services’ (DHS’) continued participation in HCIN's health\ncare language interpreter network and interpretation services, effective July 1,\n2024 through June 30, 2029, with five one-year term extension options, with an\nestimated initial annual County obligation of $3,500,000; exercise the\nagreement term extension options, add, delete, and/or modify certain terms and\nconditions of the agreement as required by law, County policy, or the Board,\nmodify the agreement, including scope of services, in accordance with the\nagreement’s terms and conditions for operational efficiencies and to address\nchanges in service needs, with corresponding changes to the pricing terms,\nincorporate and/or revise non-substantive and administrative agreement terms\nand conditions, increase and otherwise adjust HCIN membership fees and other\nrates and fees under the agreement by up to 10% annually to account for\nchanges in technology, as well as networking and other changes at DHS\nhospitals, to meet the demands and needs of the participating DHS facilities and\nto remain competitive with market rates, and effect termination of the\nagreement, with all such actions that require amendments to the agreement, as\nnecessary (Department of Health Services) APPROVE (24-1952)
