8.1 ORDINANCE NO.___ ADDING SECTION 4-38 “SERVICE PROVIDER WORKER\nRETENTION” TO CHAPTER 4 “LICENSING AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS” OF\nTHE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE\nComments:\nThe proposed Service Provider Worker Retention Ordinance would require that certain\nexisting service providers provide the City and any successor service provider with the\ncontact information of any displaced worker due to a change in the ownership of the\nexisting service provider, or a change in the company providing such services. It would\nrequire that the successor service provider offer any displaced workers employment a 90\nday “transition” period, at which point the successor service provider can evaluate the\ndisplaced worker for consideration of continued employment.
