D. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 23-5657 AMENDING THE CITY’S RECORDS\nRETENTION SCHEDULE\nCity Council is requested to adopt the resolution amending the City’s records\nretention schedule. Having an updated record retention schedule is crucial and can\nhelp reduce current and future records storage costs, eliminate duplication of\nrecords, increase efficiency and take advantage of current technology and changes\nin law.\nRecommendation:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 23-5657 (Attachment “A”) adopting the City’s amended\nRecords Retention Schedule (Exhibit 1); and\n2. Find that approval of the City’s Records Retention Schedule is not a “Project”\nas defined under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act\nState Guidelines; therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3),\nno environmental review is required.
