Presentation from the Homelessness Subcommittee\nOn February 28, 2023, the City Council created the Homelessness Subcommittee and\nappointed the following Subcommittee members: Mayor Steven Ly, Council\nMember Sean Dang, Planning Commissioner John Tang, Public Safety\nCommissioner Stephanie Garcia, and Rosemead resident Ms. Teresa Eilers. The\nSubcommittee held five meetings and was led by Mayor Ly through a strategic path\nto first learn and understand the overall matter of homelessness and then to focus on\npotential recommendations to the City Council.\nRecommendation: That the City Council discuss and provide staff direction.
