G. Landscape Maintenance Services — Award of Contract\nThe current contract for landscape maintenance services with Evergreen Landscaping\nwill expire on June 30, 2024. The scope of work for this contract includes lawn\nmowing; tree pruning for pedestrian and vehicle clearance; blowing and sweeping of\nsidewalks and hardscapes; collecting and disposing of litter and debris; edging, string\ntrimming and weeding all shrub and ground cover areas; fertilizing trees, turf, shrub\nand ground cover areas; irrigation repairs; and performing weed and pest control for\nthe landscaping at the City parks, City facilities and the public right- of-way.\nA Request for Proposals was posted to the City' s PlanetBids vendor portal. Four\nproposals were received on May 28, 2024. Staff reviewed the proposals for\ncompleteness, understanding of scope of work, methodology, experience and cost;\nand is recommending the award of a new contract to SGD Enterprises DBA Four\nSeasons Landscaping in the amount of $665, 500 per year.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to enter into a three- year contract with Four Seasons\nLandscaping in the amount of $ 665, 500 per year, with the option for up to\ntwo ( 2) one- year extensions; and\n2. Approve a new appropriation of $ 115, 500 in Street Light District Funds to\n245- 3030- 5330 in the proposed Fiscal Year 2024- 25 operating budget to cover\nthe cost of the new landscape maintenance contract.\n7.
