CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-190 TO\nENTER INTO A TEAMING AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY\nORGANIZED RELIEF EFFORT (CORE) TO WORK TOGETHER TO\nBUILD THE SOUTH EL MONTE EXTREME HEAT ACTION PLAN\n(SEMEHAP) THAT WILL OUTLINE A STRATEGIC AND\nCOMPREHENSIVE SET OF ACTIONS\nThe City will be partnering with CORE as a co-applicant to submit an\napplication for funding in response to the Integrated Climate Adaptation\nand Resiliency Program (ICARP) & Adaptation Planning Grant Program\nfunding opportunity (APGP).\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-190, approving entering into a Teaming\nAgreement with CORE to collaborate on a two-year South El Monte\nExtreme Heat Action Plan (SEMEHAP); and\n2. Authorize City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute the\nagreement.
