CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 24-184,\nACCEPTING THE COMMUNITY CENTER BASKETBALL GYM\nFLOORING IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND\nAUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE THE NOTICE OF\nCOMPLETION WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER\nOn January 10, 2024, the Engineering Department solicited bids for the\nCommunity Center Basketball Gym Flooring Improvements Project. The\nwork included the removal and disposal of existing flooring and installation\nof new basketball gym, multi-use, resilient wood flooring, installation of\nhigh-performance moisture barriers, and the installation of new volleyball\nfloorplates. The final cost for the construction work completed by Pro\nFlooring Corporation is $143,385.26.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Adopt Resolution No. 24-184, accepting the completion for the\nCommunity Center Basketball Gym Flooring Improvements Project;\n2. Authorize City Clerk to send the Notice of Completion for\nrecordation to the Los Angeles County Recorder’s Office; and\n3. Release retention accordingly.
