9.k AWARD A CONTRACT TO WEST COAST ARBORISTS, INC., OF INDIO, 297\nCA, FOR ARBORICULTURAL SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO\nEXCEED $1,114,125 (PROJECT NO. MLS00026)\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Award a three-year contract to West Coast Arborists, Inc., of Indio,\nCA, for arboricultural services for the City of Palm Desert, Desert\nWillow Golf Resort, and the Palm Desert Housing Authority in an\nannual amount not to exceed $1,114,125.\n2. Authorize staff to assign additional services/extra work as\ndetermined to be necessary to perform emergency work, mitigate\nhazardous conditions and proactively respond to unforeseen\nissues.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to review and approve written contract\namendment and change order requests for unanticipated conditions\nper Section 3.30.170 of the Palm Desert Municipal Code.\n4. Authorize the City Attorney to make any necessary non-monetary\nchanges to the agreement.\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute said agreement.
