9.r APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH SID’S CARPET BARN, INC., FOR FLOOR 663\nCOVERINGS AT PALM DESERT HOUSING AUTHORITY PROPERTIES\nFOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/25\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Authorize the use of Engineered Floors, LLC, (dba J + J Flooring)\n(“Engineered Floors”), an Omnia Partners (“Omnia”) national\ngovernment cooperative contract holder for flooring and outdoor\nsurfaces solutions, Contract 02-146, by property management, at\nthe Palm Desert Housing Authority (“Authority”) properties pursuant\nto Section 3.30.160(E) of the Palm Desert Municipal Code.\n2. Approve the agreement with Sid’s Carpet Barn, Inc., (aka Curtis\nAllan Floorcovering, Inc.), (“Sid’s Carpet”), an authorized installer of\nEngineered Floors, for procurement and installation of floor\ncoverings and related supplies and services at the Authority’s\nproperties for a term of one (1) year with an option to renew the\nagreement for no more than four additional one-year terms in an\nannual amount not to exceed $175,000.\n3. Authorize the Executive Director, or his designee, to execute the\nagreement, approve written contract amendments and change\norder requests for unanticipated conditions per Section 3.30.170 of\nthe Palm Desert Municipal Code, and take any necessary actions to\nfacilitate execution of agreement with Sid’s Carpet and any\ndocuments necessary to effectuate the actions taken herewith.
