Resolution Calling for the Placement of a General Tax Measure on the\nNovember 5, 2024 General Municipal Election Ballot for Submission to the\nQualified Voters of a Proposed Ordinance Amending, Clarifying and\nModernizing the City’s Existing Transient Occupancy Tax Regulations\nRecommended Action: It is recommended that the City Council: 1) Adopt a\nResolution (Attachment A) calling for the placement of a general tax measure on\nthe November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election ballot for submission to the\nqualified voters of a proposed Ordinance amending, clarifying and modernizing\nthe City’s existing transient occupancy tax (TOT) regulations under Del Mar\nMunicipal Code (DMMC) Chapter 3.12 (Exhibit A to Attachment A); and 2) Appoint\ntwo Councilmembers to draft an argument in support of the ballot measure and\nrebuttal, if applicable, for Council consideration and approval on July 8, 2024.\nReference: Clerk’s File No. 201-10, 401-4, 401-9
