7) CONSIDERATION OF MICROTRANSIT PILOT PROJECT\nIt is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to execute the Measure M Grant Agreement with the Los\nAngeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) for Visionary Project Seed\nFunding;\n2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a Transit as-a-Service (TaaS)\nService Order with Nomad Transit, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Via Transportation,\nInc., and to approve a project budget not to exceed $1,098,484, to carry out a turnkey\nmicrotransit pilot program for a 12-month period, in such final form as approved by the City\nAttorney;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate any amendments to the agreements in such form\nas approved by the City Attorney;\n4. Provide direction regarding the proposed plan for the delivery of transit services; and\n5. Approve the following resolution:\nRESOLUTION NO. 2024-33 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE\nCITY OF WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A BUDGET AMENDMENT\nFOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2024 AND ENDING JUNE 30,\n2025 (METRO VSF MICROTRANSIT PILOT)
