1. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS ADOPTING AND\nAMENDING THE STATE MID-CYCLE UPDATES TO THE 2022 CALIFORNIA\nGREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE, AND AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE\nBEVERLY HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE, AND APPROVING A CEQA EXEMPTION\nDETERMINATION. - First Reading for Introduction; AND\nRESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS\nMAKING EXPRESS FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS THAT\nMODIFICATIONS TO THE 2022 INTERVENING CODE ADOPTION CYCLE\nSUPPLEMENT TO THE 2022 CALIFORNIA GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS\nCODE, ARE REASONABLY NECESSARY BECAUSE OF LOCAL CLIMATIC,\nGEOLOGICAL OR TOPOGRAPHICAL CONDITIONS.\nComment: Staff recommends that the City Council move to waive the full reading of\nthe Ordinance and that the Ordinance be introduced and read by title only,\namending Title 9 of the Beverly Hills Municipal Code relating to 2022 Intervening\nBuilding Code Adoption Cycle relating to the 2022 California Green Building\nStandards Code; and to adopt the Resolution making express findings and\ndeterminations that such modifications to the 2022 California building standards\ncode are reasonably necessary. The Council will also consider finding the\nOrdinance exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
