7. AWARD CONTRACT: CITY HALL LOBBY ATTENDANT SERVICES – F2M20-43,\nRFP2M24-7, C2M24-41, M2M24-90\nOn April 8, 2024, staff sought Council authorization to solicit proposals for the City Hall\nLobby Attendant Services. Proposals were due on May 6, 2024 and twenty proposals\nwere received. A review committee comprised of three staff members reviewed the\nproposals. Staff evaluated the proposals based on professional and technical experience,\nexperience providing similar services, understanding of City objectives and requirements,\nand hourly rates and administrative costs. Proposals were also reviewed for\nresponsiveness on the required submittals. Good Guard Security, Inc. (Good Guard) was\nselected as the most qualified firm. Good Guard’s municipal contracts include The\nAltadena Public Libraries and cities of Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Anaheim. A\nreference check was conducted and was satisfactory.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Good Guard Security, Inc. for City Hall\nLobby Attendant Services for a two-year contract not to exceed $55,186.56 in year one\nand not to exceed $57,101.12 in year two; and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize the Council’s action.
