6. AWARD CONTRACT: MEN'S RESTROOM REMODEL AT THE ALHAMBRA CITY\nYARD PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING – F2M20-66, N2M24-19, C2M24-40, M2M24-89\nOn February 12, 2024, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nfor the Men’s Restroom Remodel at the City Yard Public Works Building. On May 9, 2024,\nthe City Clerk received four bids ranging from $152,200 (Sanz Construction) to $270,500\n(ENL Building Service Inc.). The bid received from Sanz Construction Inc. in the amount\nof $152,200 is the lowest responsible bid, is in full compliance and conforms with the bid\nspecifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Sanz Construction Inc. for the Men’s\nRestroom Remodel at the Alhambra City Yard in the amount not to exceed $152,200; find\nthe project is categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\nSection 15301(b) – existing facilities of both investor and publicly-owned utilities used to\nprovide electric power, natural gas, sewerage, or other publicly utility services; and, direct\nstaff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
