12. NOTICE OF COMPLETION: REPLACEMENT OF ALHAMBRA POOLS MECHANICAL\nEQUIPMENT – F2M23-31, C2M23-69, M2M24-95\nOn August 28, 2023, the City Council awarded contract a contract to AquaSource\nCommercial Pool Systems for $971,894 for the Alhambra Pools Mechanical Equipment\nReplacement Project. There were two change orders to the project. The change orders\nincluded: removal and replacement of ball valves; installation of Maxitrol gas pressure\nregulators; chemical tank coupling installation at Alhambra and Granada Pools; and,\nexhaust fan for the Alhambra Park Pool Acid Room. The change orders total $15,841.03,\nwhich brings the contract to $987,735.03. Staff has inspected this project, and all work\nhas been completed in accordance with the City’s requirements and specifications. As\nsuch, it would be appropriate for the City Council to accept this project as complete.\nRecommended Action: City Council accept the work of AquaSource Commercial\nPool Systems for the Alhambra Pools Mechanical Equipment Replacement Project as\ncomplete in the amount of $987,735.03; direct the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion\nwith the County of Los Angeles for recordation; instruct the Finance Director to release\nthe 5 percent retention 35 days from the date of recordation if no liens are filed; and, direct\nstaff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
