20. CONTRACT AMENDMENT: WIRELESS MOBILE SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH T-\nMOBILE – F2M22-6B, C2M22-60, M2M24-102\nOn November 14, 2022, the City Council approved an agreement with T-Mobile USA, Inc.\nfor Connecting Heroes Program wireless mobile services through May 2023 for an amount\nestimated at $16,647 annually. On May 22, 2023, the City Council approve an Amendment\nto the Agreement for an amount not to exceed $19,800 and to extend the agreement\nthrough August 11, 2024. The Alhambra Police Department is requesting to expand and\nextend T-Mobile wireless mobile services to include Aircards, which is a cellular data\n12\n6-24-24\nmodem that connects the Mobile Data Computers and allows access to various platforms\nand applications such as Spillman used in the police vehicles. Estimated costs are\n$12,250 annually, which is less than the cost for the same service currently being provided\nto the Police Department by Verizon. The pricing for T-Mobile is based off the NASPO\nValuePoint Contract with the State of Utah for wireless data, voice and accessories which\nis effective through May 22, 2025, with one two-year option to extend. Per Section\n3.36.080(B)(3) of the Alhambra Municipal Code, the City as the option to purchase service\nthrough a cooperative agreement to obtain competitive pricing.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an amendment, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to the agreement between the\nCity of Alhambra and T-Mobile USA, Inc. (C2M22-60) for wireless mobile services for an\namount not to exceed $32,000 annually and extend the agreement through May 22, 2025;\nauthorize the City Manager to execute any additional documentation to extend the contract\nthrough 2027 subject to satisfactory firm performance and future budget allocations; and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
