9. RENEWAL OF MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT\n- The current five-year Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement with Los\nAngeles County is set to expire on June 30, 2024. This item is to consider renewal of the\nlaw enforcement services agreement with Los Angeles County and authorize the City\nManager to execute the new five-year agreement.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Approve the renewal of the Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement with\nLos Angeles County for the period of July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to make such budget adjustments that may be necessary\nto meet the expenses of the law enforcement agreement for the period of July 1, 2024,\nto June 30, 2029.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Los Angeles County\nregarding temporary indemnity and distribution of liability in a form approved by the\nCity Attorney and not to exceed a total term of 12 months.\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nPage 5\nAttorney approval.
