14. RANGER PATROL SERVICES IN OPEN SPACE AREAS CONTRACT - This\nitem is for City Council to consider a contract to the Mountains Recreation and\nConservation Authority for Ranger Patrol Services in the Open Space Areas.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Award a three-year contract with the Mountains Recreation and Conservation\nPage 7\nAuthority for ranger patrol services for the City of Santa Clarita open space areas, in\nthe amount of $325,740, plus a 10 percent contingency in the amount of $32,574, for\na total contract amount not to exceed $358,314.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute up to two additional one-year\nrenewal options beginning in year three, not to exceed the annual contract amount,\nplus an adjustment in compensation consistent with the appropriate Consumer Price\nIndex, upon request of the contractor, and contingent upon the appropriation of funds\nby the City Council in the annual budget for such fiscal year.\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all contracts and associated\ndocuments, subject to City Attorney approval.
