7.g. APPROVAL OF CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER TO ELECNOR BELCO,\nINC. FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT VARIOUS\nSIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS PROJECT (HSIPL-5352(020))\nOn October 10, 2023, Elecnor Belco, Inc. was awarded a contract for\nTraffic Signal Improvements at Various Signalized Intersections. During\nconstruction, an unforeseen issue at Rush Street and Chico Avenue\nrequires new conduit installation for the pedestrian countdown displays.\nStaff recommends approving Contract Change Order 01 for $88,709.17 to\nElecnor Belco, Inc., funded by Caltrans Highway Safety Program (HSIP)\nCycle 9 funds\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve Contract Change Order (CCO 01) to Elecnor Belco, Inc.\nfor the Traffic Signal Improvements at Various Signalized\nIntersections Project in the amount of $88,709.17;\n2. Authorize the City Manager to increase Elecnor Belco, Inc.’s\npurchase order for the project from $381,707.00 to $470,416.17;\nand\n3. Approve a revised 15% contingency amount of $70,571.73:\nreflecting an increase to the original contingency amount of\n$57,265.05 by $13,306.38; for a new project construction budget\namount not to exceed $483,722.55.
