Resolution Authorizing the Temporary Suspension of\nRegulatory Ordinance Pertaining to the Operation of the\nPlacentia Rotary Club Cowabunga Fundraiser Event on\nSaturday, September 7, 2024, at Kraemer Memorial Park\nFiscal Impact: $4,225 (Staff Costs)\nRecommended Action: It is recommended that the City\nCouncil:\n1) Approve a facility rental/use agreement with the\nPlacentia Rotary Club to host the annual Cowabunga\nfundraiser event at Kraemer Memorial Park and\nauthorize the City Administrator or designee to\nexecute all applicable documents; and\n2) Adopt Resolution No. R-2024-37, A Resolution of the\nCity Council of the City of Placentia Authorizing the\nTemporary Suspension of Regulatory Sections\n10.28.010 and 23.76.050 of the Placentia Municipal\nCode for the operation of the Cowabunga fundraiser\nevent on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 2:00\np.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Kraemer Memorial Park located\nat 201 N. Bradford Avenue; and b) granting authority\nto the City Administrator or his/her designee to\nauthorize the temporary suspension of the regulatory\nordinance Section 10.28.010 and Section 23.76.050\nof the Placentia Municipal Code for the operation of\nthe Placentia Rotary Club Cowabunga Fundraiser\nEvent held annually in September for the next five (5)\nyears through 2029; and\n3) Consider approving the Staff’s recommendation to\nonly waive facility use/rental fees for the use of\nKraemer Memorial Park and not Staff costs or the\ndamage deposit associated with the operation of the\nevent.\nStaff Report\nResolution R-2024-37\nRotary Club Letter\nStaff and Facility Use Fees
