Proposed Measure to be Submitted to the Voters for Consideration of an Increase in the\nTransient Occupancy Tax\nRecommended Action: (1) Adopt Resolution 24-XX Calling for the Placement of a Special\nTax Measure on the November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election Ballot for the Submission\nto the Qualified Voters of a Proposed Ordinance Amending the City's Transient Occupancy\n(Hotel) Tax By Increasing the Maximum Rate From 8% to 12% Effective on January 1, 2025;\nRequesting the County Of Orange and the Registrar Of Voters to Consolidate Said Election\nWith the Statewide General Election of November 5, 2024; and Setting Rules and Deadlines\nfor Arguments and Rebuttals for and Against the Measure, and (2) adopt Resolution 24-XX\nAmending the FY 2024/2025 Elections Budget for Expenses Related to the November 2024\nTransient Occupancy Tax Ballot Measure.
