2. APPROVE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN\nTHE CITY OF PASADENA AND PASADENA POLICE LIEUTENANTS\nASSOCIATION FOR THE TERM\nOF JULY 1, 2024 - JUNE 30, 2028 (Human Resources Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1) Find that the proposed action in the agenda report is exempt\nfrom the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA\nguidelines Section 15061(b)(3)\n“Common Sense” exemption;\n(2) Approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the\nCity of Pasadena (City) and the Pasadena Police Lieutenants Association\n(PPLA), for the term of July\n1, 2024, through June 30, 2028; and\n(3) Adopt a Resolution authorizing tax deferral of member paid\ncontributions to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System\n(CalPERS) for Pasadena Police\nLieutenants Association (PPLA) employees with membership in\nCalPERS.
