3. ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRE-TAX TREATMENT\nOF COST-SHARING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC\nEMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT\nSYSTEM PAID BY MEMBERS OF THE PASADENA POLICE\nLIEUTENANTS ASSOCIATION, UNDER SECTION 414(H)2 OF THE\nINTERNAL REVENUE CODE\n(Human Resources Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1) Find that the proposed action in the agenda report is exempt\nfrom the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA\nguidelines Section 15061(b)(3)\n“Common Sense” exemption; and\n(2) Adopt a Resolution to authorize the pre-tax treatment of cost-\nsharing contributions paid by members of the Pasadena Police Lieutenants\nAssociation to the California\nPublic Employees’ Retirement System.\nRESOLUTION
