4) CONSIDERATION TO ACCEPT THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL – CANNABIS TAX FUND\nGRANT PROGRAM FUNDS TO SUPPORT SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT DETAILS, AND\nADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS\nRecommend that the City Council:\na. Accept the California Highway Patrol – Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program funds (Contract\nNo. 2267) in the amount of $103,412.20, to help address the dangers of impaired driving\ninvolving alcohol and/or drugs by conducting Driving Under the Influence Checkpoints,\nSaturation Patrols, providing Community training on the dangers of DUI and Driving Under\nthe Influence of Drugs, and purchasing tools to assist in DUI prevention and enforcement\nefforts;\nb. Adopt Resolution No. 8321 amending the budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 to appropriate\nthe grant revenues and expenses; and\nc. Authorize the City Manager to execute all related documents.
