36. RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE MEMORANDUM OF\nUNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE ALHAMBRA POLICE DISPATCHERS’\nASSOCIATION (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE ALHAMBRA POLICE DISPATCH\nASSOCIATION) – F2M24-2, C2M21-51, R2M24-34\nThe City Council previously approved and adopted a MOU with the APDA for the term of\nJune 24, 2021 through June 30, 2026. Since then, City representatives and APDA\nmembers have met and conferred over various updates, revisions and clarifications to\nMOU language that has been memorialized and approved by the City Council in the form\nof first, second and third Side Letters of Agreement with the APDA. The comprehensive\nMOU presented and outlined in the July 22, 2024 report by the Director of Human\nResources & Risk Management consolidates all previously approved and agreed upon\nupdates, revisions and clarifications. The City and APDA have mutually agreed upon the\nattached comprehensive MOU and all wages, hours, benefits and other terms and\nconditions of employment presently represented in this comprehensive MOU remain in full\nforce and effect. A resolution approving the comprehensive APDA MOU is required.\nRecommended Action: City Council adopt Resolution No. R2M24-34 entitled: A\nResolution of the Alhambra City Council approving a Comprehensive Memorandum of\nUnderstanding with the Alhambra Police Dispatchers’ Association; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
