27. CONTRACT AMENDMENT: CITY ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FY 2023-2024 –\nF2M2-57, C2M2-46, M2M24-130\nTranstech Engineers provides City Engineering Services to the Public Works Department\non an as needed basis. The original contract for engineering services plan review is\n$200,000.00 per fiscal year. Transtech invoices the City on an hourly basis, depending on\nthe type and amount of work performed. Due to the increased amount of Accessory\nDwelling Unit plan checks during Fiscal Year 2023-2024, Transtech was required to do\nwork that exceeded the contract amount by $85,162.50. The cost of the additional work\nis offset by project and plan check revenues collected. This amendment will only cover\nadditional work performed in Fiscal Year 2023-2024.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve an amendment to the Agreement with\nTranstech Engineers for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 for an additional $85,162.50; direct the\nDirector of Finance to increase the Purchase Order by $85,162.50 to cover the cost of the\nadditional work; authorize the City Manager to sign the Amendment on behalf of the City\nCouncil; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M23-130)\n15\n7-22-24
