19. AWARD CONTRACT: INTERIOR COATINGS OF TREATMENT VESSELS 204 A AND\n204 B AT THE GROUND WATER TREATMENT PLANT – F2M24-47, N2M24-62,\nC2M24-48, M2M24-122\nOn May 13, 2024, the City Council approved the distribution of Notice Inviting Bids N2M24-\n62 for the Interior Coatings of Water Treatment Vessels 204 A and 204 B at the Ground\nWater Treatment Plant. On June 6, 2024, the City Clerk received and opened three bids\nranging from $107,000 (Commerce Coating Services Corp.) to $137,900 (J. Colon Coating\nServices, Inc.). The lowest bid received was from Commerce Coating Services Corp. was\nrejected due to due an incomplete bid proposal. Unified Field Services Corp. was the\nsecond lowest bid in the amount of $110,600.00. Staff reviewed the bid submitted by\nUnified Field Services Corp. and found it to be in full compliance and conformance with\nthe project specifications.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nUnified Field Services Corp., for the Interior Coatings of Water Treatment Vessels 204 A\nand 204 B at the Ground Water Treatment Plant in an amount not to exceed $110,600.00;\nfind the Project categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\npursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (b); and, direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
