31. RESOLUTION APPROVING A SECOND SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT WITH THE\nALHAMBRA CITY EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION (ACEA) AND A REVISED CLASS\nSPECIFICATION FOR PURCHASING TECHNICIAN AND A NEW CLASS\nSPECIFICATION FOR SENIOR BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER – F2M24-2,\nR2M24-24, C87-16A, M2M24-134\nCity staff and ACEA representatives met and conferred in good faith regarding the addition\nof a classification and a consolidation and revision of two existing classifications into one\nclassification. The ACEA group is in agreement with the new and revised job\nspecifications, salary and changes as proposed. City and ACEA reached agreement on\nthe following: consolidation of Existing Utilities Warehouse Purchasing Technician and\nPurchasing Technician to a Revised and Updated Purchasing Technician Classification\nand Elimination of Utilities Warehouse Purchasing Technician Classification and creation\nof a New Senior Building Maintenance Worker Classification. A resolution approving a\nSecond Side Letter of Agreement with ACEA and approving the revised class specification\nfor Purchasing Technician and new class specification for Senior Building Maintenance\nWorker is necessary.\nRecommended Action: City Council take the following actions: 1) Adopt Resolution\nNo. R2M24-24 entitled: A Resolution of the Alhambra City Council approving a Second\nSide Letter of Agreement with the Alhambra City Employees’ Association and approving\na revised Class Specification for Purchasing Technician and a new Class Specification for\nSenior Building Maintenance Worker; 2) Direct the Finance Director to make necessary\nbudget adjustments within the Fiscal Year 2023-2025 Adopted Budget for the for the\npositions of Purchasing Technician and Senior Building Maintenance Worker; and, 3)\nDirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
