30. APPROVAL TO AMEND CONTRACT K2M23-345 FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICES –\nF2M24-16, K2M23-345, M2M24-133\nOn July 19, 2023, the City entered into an agreement with J.G. Mendoza Electric Inc. for\nprofessional electrical services to be conducted throughout park facilities. The scope of\nwork included electrical services to maintain and repair electrical components throughout\nthe Parks, Almansor Court, and the Golf Course. The initial terms of contract K2M23-345\n16\n7-22-24\nwere such that services could not exceed $38,710. A first amendment to the contract was\nexecuted in order to allow a $10,000 payment for additional tasks not originally scheduled.\nThe contract has now reached the $48,710 limit. An additional $38,000 is needed because\nthe scope of work expanded and includes installation of LED lighting at the Golf Course\ncart barn, electrical panel upgrade at the golf course and updated LED lighting in all parks\nthat were not originally scheduled. Additionally, more parts and materials are needed.\nDespite the adjustments, no additional budget is necessary because sufficient funding is\navailable to accommodate the Second Amendment. This amendment brings the new total\ncontract amount to $86,710.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a contract amendment, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of\nAlhambra and J.G. Mendoza Electric Inc., for annual professional electrical services in an\nadditional amount not to exceed $38,000 for a total contract amount $86,710; and, direct\nstaff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
