13. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ON ALMANSOR\nSTREET – F2M24-52, N2M24-92\nThe Sewer Master Plan identified the sewer main on Almansor Street at Lindaraxa Park\nhas a lower slope and may cause the system to be surcharged during peak wet weather\nconditions. Therefore, it is recommended the slope of the pipe be increased so that the\nsystem does not back up and cause a spill in the future. As part of the City of Alhambra’s\nUtilities Department ongoing capital improvement program, this project will replace\napproximately 300 feet of existing 8-inch sewer main. Plans and specifications have been\nprepared. Staff reviewed the plans and found them to be consistent with the City’s\nstandards.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids\nto qualified contractors for the Sewer Main Replacement Project on Almansor Street with\nbids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on September 12, 2024, and opened at 11:00 a.m. that\nsame day.
