10. RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY\nOF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, accepting the certification of the Orange County Registrar of Voters\nas to the verification of signatures of the initiative petition entitled “City of Anaheim For-Profit\nHospital Gross Receipts Tax Initiative.”\nUpon acceptance of the certification of the Orange County Registrar of Voters as to the\nverification of signatures of the initiative, and if the initiative is found sufficient, either:\ni) RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE\nCITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, calling and giving notice of a general municipal election\nto be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 and ordering the submission to the qualified\nelectors of the City of Anaheim an initiative measure imposing a general tax on each for-\nprofit general acute care hospital located in the City of Anaheim (“Hospital”) equivalent to\nthree (3) percent of the For-Profit Hospital’s Annual Gross Receipts; requesting that the\nOrange County Board of Supervisors direct the Orange County Registrar of Voters to render\nservices to the City relating to the conduct of the general municipal election; establishing the\ndeadlines for the filing of arguments and rebuttal arguments; and directing the City Attorney\nto prepare an impartial analysis.\na. If the resolution is adopted, decide whether to submit an argument against the\nordinance proposed by the initiative measure as provided in Section 9282 of the\nElections Code of the State of California, and if submitting an argument against the\nordinance, may designate the author(s) of the argument.\nMOTION:\nOr\nii) Order a report on the effect of the proposed initiative measure pursuant to Elections Code\nSection 9212 to be presented to the City Council no later than at the August 20, 2024\nCouncil meeting.\nMOTION:
