18. APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL (CHP) GRANT AWARD UNDER THE\nCANNABIS TAX FUND GRANT PROGRAM (CTFGP)\nRECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Accept grant funding awarded by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) under the Cannabis Tax Fund\nGrant Program (CTFGP) in the amount of $195,456; and,\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract for grant funds; and\n3. Amend the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget and increase appropriations by $45,456 in Expenditure\nAccount No. 265-80-832-5010.10 (Grants, Police, CHP Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program, Overtime)\nand $150,000 in Expenditure Account No. 265-80-832-6082 (Grants, Police, CHP Cannabis Tax Fund\nGrant Program, Vehicle Purchase) and $195,456 in Revenue Account No. 265-99-4198.86 (Grants, CHP\nCannabis Tax Fund); and\n4. Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
