9. RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND APPROVAL OF A\nCONTRACT WITH J. KIM ELECTRIC, INC. FOR THE CITYWIDE PARKS\nSTREETLIGHT UPGRADES PROJECT\nPresented by Jason Tran, E.I.T., Assistant Engineer\nPurpose: Approve plans and specifications and authorize the Public Works Department\nto hire a contractor to upgrade streetlights at six parks within the City. Associated costs\nin the amount of $115,567.90 will be funded by American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA)\nfunds received from the County of Orange via Supervisor Doug Chaffee (Account No.\n11-9806-190134).\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving the plans and specifications for\nthe Citywide Parks Streetlight Upgrades Project; 2) Award a contract to J. Kim Electric,\nInc. in the amount of $104,567.90; 3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of\n$11,000 in the same purchase order; 4) Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to\nmake any necessary, non-monetary changes to the contract; and, 5) Authorize the City\nManager and City Clerk to execute the contract.
